Ryann’s Research for 3/19

Through my research, I have realized that I am becoming more and more interested in what has already been done in terms of relief in Tacloban and the ways that relief is being presented through the media. Attached are two different views, NPR and UNICEF, and it is clear that their own public image plays into the way they are presenting the information. UNICEF takes a much more positive stance and focuses on what has been done and is hoped to be done while NPR is very realistic in saying that very little has been accomplished. I think it is important to get both sides and as we move further in our research to really be paying attention to who we are getting our information from since we cannot be at the site.
